Vegas Asian Network was founded by Maria Tran — a Vietnamese-Australian filmmaker, actor, and community builder who first made her mark in Western Sydney. Alongside her husband, Japanese director and producer Takashi Hara, Maria now calls Las Vegas home.
As bold voices in independent cinema, Maria and Takashi arrived in Vegas not as insiders, but as creatives with a mission: to build something meaningful. With roots spanning Australia, Asia, and the U.S., Maria’s journey has always been about breaking boundaries — using film and storytelling to empower those often left out of the spotlight.
When they moved to Las Vegas in 2021, they felt the lack of a central space to uplift and connect Asian entrepreneurs, creatives, and changemakers. And so, Vegas Asian Network was born — not just as a directory, but as a dynamic platform for visibility, collaboration, and belonging.
This is more than networking. It’s about building a home.
It’s about outsiders carving out a space — and inviting others in.
It’s where culture meets community. It’s where Asian Vegas rises.
